The “2016 ISA-Austria International SSL Forum” had been held by ISA on September 20^th in Bregenz, Austria, supported by EPIC and Luger Research, during the 6^th international “LED Professional Symposium + Expo (LpS 2016)”. The attendees of the Forum were from European companies including lighting designers, manufactures, and dealers. A number of Chinese companies had joined this international forum including Huawei, APT Electronics, PCCooler, etc. This forum had been sponsored by APT Electronics.

Within this ISA forum, the topics had been focused on the new trends and developments of global SSL industry. The presentations such as “Beyond Lighting”, “Together, Build Smart City IoT Ecosystem based on smart lighting”, “LEDs Insure: LED Performance Insurance Project”, “SSL Development in Asia and the Cooperation Model”,  “ISA Global SSL Industry Report 2016 - Emerging markets and their development ”, etc. had been delivered to the audiences.

Mdm. Ling WU, the President of ISA and the Secretary-General of CSA, delivered welcome remarks   at the beginning of this   Forum, introducing the vision,mission of ISA and the purpose of the Forum.  She afterwards attended the press conference with Prof. Shuji Nakamura (2014 Noble Physics), Mr. Carlos Lee (Secretary-General of EPIC), Mr. Diederik de Stoppelaar (Secretary-General of Lighting Europe), Dr. Heinz Seyringer (Board Member of Photonics 21), Mr. Arno Grabher-Meyer (Chief Editor of LED Prodessional), etc. She also replied to the questions addressed on her about the development of Asian SSL industry and the challenge to the European SSL Industry.

During the events in Bregenz, Mdm. Ling WU had visited the Headquarter of Zumtobel, accompanied by Dr. Seyringer, the Head of Research Collaborations of Zumtobel Group.  Also respectively she had the conversations with the representatives from Green Tech Solution of Munich RE, EPIC, Swiss Photonics, ASSODEL Italian, Chile Public Lighting Foundation, Luger Research Institute, etc. to introduce the works by ISA/CSA and invite them to attend the “SSLCHINA 2016” and ISA Annual events in November in Beijing, China.
