ISA Technical Committee on Standardization (TCS)
was established in November 2011, which aims to make recommendation of the SSL standards and specifications developed by ISA TCS to the relevant international standards organizations (such as ISO/IEC/CIE etc.) and the competent standardization authorities of other nations to cooperate with other international, national and regional standards organizations to collaboratively promote the progress of SSL standards R&D and development.
TCS Vision and Mission
The purpose of the TCS is to influence and accelerate the development
of regional and global SSL standards and make recommendations and
cooperate with worldwide standards organizations to promote their
adoption.
• Not another standards organization;
• Not in competition with existing standards bodies;
• Forum for discussion, gap identification, prioritization, recommendation and thought leadership.
Principals for Topic Selection
• Meaningful – should have impact
• Not redundant – should leverage work and standards of other global organizations
• Doable – does not require massive scientific studies
