The ECC-Internet of Light and Lighting (IoL2) Forum and the 3rd Meeting of ISA-ECC Smart Street Lighting System Specialized Committee
The 3rd meeting of ISA-ECC Smart Street Lighting System Specialized Committee (Hereinafter referred to as the “ISA-ECC Specialized Committee”) was held on Nov. 26th, 2019 at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, China. The meeting was hosted by International SSL Alliance (ISA), China SSL Alliance (CSA) and Edge Computing Consortium (ECC), supported by Sansi, Unilumin, New Space and Lunlux. More than 70 experts from lighting industry, IT and CT attended the meeting.
The meeting was moderated by Prof. Robert Karlicek, the Director of Center for Lighting Enabled Systems & Applications, the Chairman of ISA-ECC Smart Street Lighting System Specialized Committee, and Mr. Jingkang Xiong, the Vice President of Changzhou Institute of Technology Research for Solid State Lighting.
Mr. Xiaoming Jin, the Co-Secretary of ISA Secretariat on behalf of Dr. Jianlin Cao, the President of ISA, the former vice minister of Ministry of Science and Technology of China, delivered the welcome remarks.
He expressed that the development of solid state lighting beyond people's imagination in recent years, its application has been deepened to smart city, agricultural lighting, health lighting and smart lighting and other fields. Among them, smart lighting was giving birth to new urban management models, which were being combined with the latest technologies such as 5G, automatic drive and artificial intelligence. However, there was still a bottleneck to be broken in smart lighting, which was on the eve of large-scale application. He hoped that colleagues in the lighting and ICT industry would make full use of the conference and the ISA-ECC platform to give full play to their respective strengths and overcome difficulties together, so as to open a higher and wider vision for innovative social governance and management efficiency and provide new and more effective tools.
