The global outbreak of COVID-19 has raised the requirements of human society for the prevention and control of infectious diseases. More scientific and advanced technology will become an important link related to human health in the future. The communication and exchange among various scientific research institutions in the international community will greatly promote the development and application of UV LED technology in the world. While contributing to the protection of human health, the widespread application of UV LED will provide unlimited opportunities for the development of upstream and downstream industrial chains and generate many benefits. To this end, the ISA UV LED Committee was established in October 2023.
The chairman of ISA UV LED Committee is Prof. Jimin Li, Former Director of Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Distinguished Researcher of Chinese Academy of Sciences; Director of the State Key Laboratory of Joint Innovation in Semiconductor Lighting; Member of ISA Council of Management.
The activities of the UV LED Committee:
(1) Organize academic exchanges in the form of special sessions, seminars, large-scale conferences, etc.
(2) Facilitate and promote the research and development of international UV LED technology and applications.
(3) Promote the communication and demonstration projects in the interested countries.
(4) Promote and facilitate the standards development on UV LED.
