Dear ISA members and relevant organizations,

 

The increasing maturity of LED technology and products has provided various possibilities for people to explore the field of beyond lighting. Light health and photonics for light therapy have been the focus of research and development and application innovation in recent years.

 

Studying the effects between light energy and human health at a more microscopic and precise level, digging up and apply the intervention effects of different light recipes on human cells, nerves, vision, skin, and other aspects, is a sign that light health and light therapy have entered a new stage.

 

Light is becoming a new comer addition to traditional means of treatments such as drugs and surgery. The R&D of light recipes with different wavelengths for metabolic diseases, neuropathic pain, microbial infection and diseases of immune and reproductive system have shown a good market prospect and are encouraging more resources to be invested.

 

In order to promote the cooperation between China and Europe in the field of light health and photonics for light therapy, exchange innovation results, promote complementarity of industrial advantages, expand application scope, and seek market opportunities, ISA and European Photonics Industry Consortium (EPIC) will jointly hold the “ISA - EPIC Online Technology Meeting on Photonics for Light Therapy and Aesthetics Applications” on 28 Feb, 2023 on “Zoom”. 

 

The meeting will invite experts from the UK, Switzerland, Israel and China to share their R&D innovations and applications of photonics for light therapy and aesthetics technology and products.

 

The provisional agenda and speakers’ information of the meeting will be issued soon. The meeting will provide simultaneous interpretation.
